Margie Ernestine Brown, 86, of Greenfield, passed away on June 4, 2013. She was born in Mount Hope, AL on November 23, 1926 to the late Bevlin and Minnie Smith. Margie retired from the Indianapolis Star and News after 35 years of employment. She is survived by her sons; Michael Brown, of Rushville, IN, Layne Brown, of Greenfield, IN, and David Brown, of Greenwood, SC; grandchildren, Josh Brown, Jason Brown, Dakota Brown, Jacob Brown, Lawrence Brown, Mike J. Brown, Chris R. Brown, and Justin Schuster; great grandchildren, Kaitlin and Rylan Brown; and many other family members. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy; her parents; and her siblings, Nadine Simpson, Mildred Haddock, and Alten Smith. A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, June 7 at Bethel Baptist Church, Greenfield, IN. Friends may call from 11:30 until service time.
